Throughout the year, our Baytown employees are out in the community volunteering their time and talent to a variety of non-profit agencies. But did you know that those volunteer hours can lead to additional grant money for those organizations?
Through ExxonMobil’s Volunteer Involvement Program (VIP), employees, family members and retirees can receive individual grants for their volunteer efforts. For every 20 hours volunteered at a school or non-profit organization, ExxonMobil will donate $500.
Team grants are also available when there are at least five employees who work to complete a project at a school or non-profit organization. Each member compiles time to reach 20 hours as a team.
Last year, Baytown and Mont Belvieu employees earned more than $420,000 in grants! These grants were awarded as a result of countless volunteer hours and have directly impacted our local community by enhancing school classrooms, improving science labs and supporting United Way agencies.
